FAQ

Q: Will my insurance agent handle this claim for me?

A: Your insurance agent’s role is completed when he/she sells you the policy. Selling and servicing your policy is the most you should expect from your agent. Based on the terms of the policy, it’s solely the responsibility of the insured to prove and document their loss.

Q: Since the Public Adjuster works on the behalf of the insured, what are their fees and when do they get paid?

A: Bi-State Public Adjuster’s fee is based on a set percentage of your loss recovery and we are not paid until the claim is settled and the settlement check is received from your insurance company.

Q: I previously reported a claim. Can you help me get a fair settlement?

A: If you feel a previous claim was underpaid, we will aid you in re-opening it and work diligently to get you a better, often bigger settlement. You have two years from the date of the loss to re-open a claim.

Q: Why should you hire a public adjuster?

A: When it comes to insurance claims, you are responsible for proving your loss to your insurance company.

Aside from attorneys, a licensed public insurance adjuster is the only entity licensed by the state to represent you, the insured. As a Public Adjuster, we handle all of the work regarding your claim.

We have the experience, knowledge and expertise to obtain the maximum entitlements under your policy. Our team of specially trained professionals understands insurance policies, endorsements and forms, in addition to your rights as the insured. Our focus is on you. Our job is to represent You to the insurance company.

Think of it this way: If you had a tax problem would you allow the IRS to prepare your tax return for you? If you did, would you expect the IRS to do its best to find every tax deduction for you so that you paid the least tax or get the biggest refund?

Do you hire a tax professional because: 1. You don’t have time to do it yourself? 2. The IRS has tax codes that’s too complicated for a normal person to understand? 3. You usually get a larger refund or smaller tax liability, when you use a professional? 4. The fee you pay is usually far less than the additional money you save?
